Methodist Church
Regular Services
At Fulwood Methodist Church, we believe faith is lived out in community. Whether you are searching for meaningful Sunday worship, a space to grow spiritually, or simply a warm and friendly group to belong to, we have something for you. Rooted in Methodist tradition since 1911, we offer a wide range of services and activities for all ages and backgrounds. Everyone is welcome here, regardless of where they are on their faith journey. Come and see what we are about.
10:30am, every Sunday
Our usual pattern is Holy Communion on the first Sunday of the month, and all-age worship on the second Sunday of the month. For information about our provision for children and young people during worship, see the Sunday Club section below.
As a Methodist Church, we welcome a variety of different preachers to lead our services, which allows us to explore our faith together from many different perspectives.
We have a minibus which collects our less mobile congregants from their homes for our Sunday services. Get in touch if you'd like to be added to the list.
Wednesday, Thursday or Friday evenings
We currently have three home groups, who meet together in each other's homes. Some meet once a fortnight, others once a month. These small groups allow us to grow as a community, getting to know each other and share our faith in more personal ways. We look at the Bible together, ask questions and support each other in prayer. Please contact Sonia if you would like to join a home group: soniaphillips12@yahoo.co.uk
10:30am, every Wednesday
These more intimate services are quiet and reflective, offering a chance to escape the busyness of life in the middle of the week.
We are privileged to have lots of children and young people at our church. Our provision ranges from 0-18 years.
Creche: This is an unsupervised space, so please stay with your little ones. Toys, books and baby changing facilities accessible at the back of church, with the service played on speakers so you can still listen along.
Seekers: Pre-school, led by Gill
Explorers: Key Stage 1, led by Sonia
Pathfinders: Key Stage 2, led by Janet
Pathfinders Plus: High School, led by Ben
Third Monday of the Month, 6.30pm, Black Bull Pub
Grab some food, or just a drink, while sharing in fellowship and topical conversation with others.
Sundays, Monthly, 4pm
We alternate between Taizé, Compline and Lectio Divinia services to provide a contemplative afternoon service for those who enjoy quiet, meditative worship.
